Saturday Spankings 11/23
It’s that time of week again and where am I? I’m in a car, driving like crazy through the wilds of Wichita, where I hope to eventually arrive at a top secret location where wild fun and frivolity will be enjoyed by all…except me, because I am still too puny to join in. Dammit.
Still, I look on the bright side. I’m getting together with friends I only get to see once a month and at least I’m getting out of the house. Which, admittedly, hasn’t been a problem for me these last few months. It seems I have been everywhere but home lately and my NaNoWriMo is definitely suffering for it. But, enough bitching, right?
So, what have I got for Saturday Spankings this week? Why, it’s another excerpt from my upcoming new release, which was called Hearts of Winter only last week and has (yet again) been renamed. It is now Something Has To Give, and I’m not touching the title again. I swear.
Or at least not for the rest of the day.
This story is going to be offered in a boxed set called The
Nice Naughty List (although it will also be available individually for those who like to buy out of the box). The boxed set will include Everything Christmas by Maddie Taylor, Father for Christmas by Dinah McLeod, Christmas Joy by Patty Devlin, Santa Baby by Renee Rose and, of course, my own.

Freshly divorced and newly-discharged from the military, Quint Rydecker comes home for the first time since his wife left him, expecting to find his house empty and quiet. Then he meets Elsie Redding.
Elsie Redding thinks she’s found a place to call her own–an old abandoned farmhouse in the middle of the Utah desert–where she might finally evade the debts and hard times haunting her. But, then she meets Quint Rydecker.
Now, like soldiers on opposing fields, Quint and Elsie wage war with that old farmhouse as the only prize. Both are determined to get rid of the other before winter closes in and they find themselves unwillingly stranded together. There are just two problems: no matter how much she tries, Elsie can’t seem to harden herself against the guilt of taking the handsome soldier’s family home; and no matter how much he tries, the longer they’re together, the harder it is for Quint to resist the lovely, kissable and all-too spankable Elsie Redding’s charms.
Something will have to give, and it might just be their hearts.
The set-up: Step One of his twelve step plan to get revenge on Elsie for locking him in the second-story bathroom: Escape. Check. He’s in his underwear, completely out of the house and there’s snow on the ground, but he has escaped.
Step Two through Eleven of that twelve step plan: Get back in the house and get his hands on Elsie! Easier said than done, but also check, check, check, etc…because Quint knows something she doesn’t. His house has three entrances and she can’t get to all of them before he gets inside.
That only leaves one step left, Step Twelve: Teach her a lesson she’ll never forget. Also easier said than done, but again, Quint knows something Elsie doesn’t. He might have lost the hairbrush in his mad-dash scramble to get back inside, but when you bait a man in the kitchen, you’d better first hide all the spatulas.

He saw the intent in her blazing eyes even as she reared to get as much space between them as she could and Quint barely snapped his legs shut, defensively jerking one up between them so her knee connected harmlessly with his hip.
His eyes narrowed; so did hers. With deliberate hostility, she let her gaze drop down between them and despite its near miss of only a moment before, his cock felt her notice like a caress–swelling and stirring behind the thin white cotton of his underwear.
With equal coldness, her eyes returned to his and her mouth twisted into a smirk. “I expected so much more from a big man like you.”
“It was cold outside,” he said defensively.
Her smirk only grew. “Whatever makes you feel better, sweetheart.”

Hopefully, you’ve enjoyed this little sneak peek into my newest release. It’s set to hit the shelves on the 30th of this month. So come back on the 29th for your chance to win a free copy of The
Nice Naughty List Boxed Set. I will post the first chapter of Something Has To Give. Everyone who leaves a comment will be entered to win the Boxed Set. The winner will be drawn at absolute random, which means it doesn’t matter how much I like you or how nice your comment, it will not improve your chances of winning.
Nacho-flavored corn nuts sent to my PO Box, however, might…You’ll never know if you don’t try.
